Chief Keith F. Hummel
 
Chief Hummel is responsible for administering and enforcing the rules and regulations of the Department, to prescribe the duties and assignments of all its members, and to develop policies and procedures to ensure that the Department operates in an efficient and orderly manner.  The Chief of Police reports to the Director of Public Safety.
 
 

Lieutenant Frank Bialecki – Operations Division Commander

Lieutenant Bialecki is responsible for the overall supervision and management of personnel assigned to the Operations Division.  Lieutenant Bialecki is responsible for assigning personnel to shifts to ensure that proper coverage of the Township is done on a seven-day, 24 hour basis. He also is responsible for Policy Development.

Lt. Bialecki is also responsible for the Civil Disturbance Team.  The primary team mission is to respond to the scenes of large disturbances and to restore peace.

Lieutenant Louis Bordi – Investigations & Support Services Division Commander

Lieutenant Bordi is responsible for the overall supervision and management of personnel assigned to the Investigations Division.  All major cases are reviewed and he ensures that each investigation is properly followed up to its logical conclusion. Lt. Bordi assists with policy development and grant applications

Lieutenant Bordi is responsible for the overall supervision and management of personnel assigned to the crime scene unit.  He supervise all Firearms Instructors and oversee firearms qualifications.  He is responsible for maintaining Megan's Law Registrations and all liquor license investigations.  He also oversees building maintenance.

Lt. Bordi is also responsible for the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT).  The SWAT Team is trained to handle critical incidents such as Hostage Situations, Barricaded Persons, High Risk Warrant Services and Dignitary Protection to name a few.

Lieutenant James Odd – Traffic Division Commander

Lieutenant Odd is responsible for the overall supervision and management of personnel assigned to the Traffic Division. Fatal accidents, motor vehicle related arrests, radar posts and traffic engineering projects are handled by this unit.  He also overseas the school crossing guards.  Lt. Odd assists with policy development and grant applications.  He also oversees and manages the department fleet of vehicles and he manages all side work assignements.

Lieutenant William Donnelly – Services Division Commander

Lieutenant Donnelly is responsible for the overall supervision and management of personnel assigned to the Records Bureau.  The Records Bureau is responsible for collecting and managing this Department’s Records, which includes investigation reports, minor incident reports, criminal and non-criminal complaints, fingerprint cards, pistol permits, accident reports and handicap placards. Personnel assigned to the Records Bureau are responsible for preparing and submitting a monthly Uniform Crime Report to the New Jersey State Police. 

Lieutenant Donnelly also oversees the Technology Unit.  Lieutenant Donnelly plans, organizes and maintains the Department’s Training Unit and budgeting.  He is responsible for all uniform contracts, the preparation of grant applications. Lieutenant Donnelly is also responsible for managing and supervising recruit personnel and the field  training program.  He also oversees the Crisis Intervention Team.

Lieutenant Gerard Slack – Communications Division Commander

Lieutenant Slack is responsible for the overall supervision and management of personnel assigned to the Communications Division. The Communications Division is responsible for all telephone and radio communications received by the department.   This unit operates on a seven day, 24 hour basis.

Lieutenant Slack is also the 911 and Terminal Agency Coordinator.  He is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and operations of all police radios.  He is also responsible for Cell Block management and policy development.
