NEED TO KNOW:

emergency telephone numbers near home phone. (fire, police,
workplace, neighbor, relative, cell) |

Lock and
unlock doors and widows. |

Never
answer door when home alone. |
 |
Never go
into a home when door/window is open or broken. (call police
from neighbors / outside) |

How to lock and
unlock doors and windows in case of an emergency. |

Play /
walk with a friend, never go alone. |

If ever
lost or separated, know where to go for help.

STRANGERS:

A
stranger is someone you don’t know well. |
 |
A
“dangerous stranger” may try to trick or harm children.

Refuse
rides or gifts / common lures lost dog, cat, offer candy, toys
or a ride. |

Never let
a stranger get too close. |
 |
If a
child is in danger, they should YELL for help (“This is not my
Mom/Dad”) and run to a trusted adult. |

Remember

Tell a
trusted adult if anyone, even a teacher or close relative,
touches or speaks to them in a way that makes them feel
uncomfortable. SAY NO & TELL SOMEONE.
Adults should never have to go to a child for help. Adults
should only go to other Adults for help. |
