The Voorhees Township Police Department has established a Crime
Prevention Unit to provide the citizens of Voorhees with assistance
in making their families, homes and businesses more secure; and also
to provide crime awareness and prevention programs to the
neighborhoods and business organizations.
Contemporary Crime Prevention is formally defined as the
anticipation, recognition and appraisal of a crime risk and the
initiation of some action to remove or reduce that risk. In this
sense, contemporary crime prevention represents a proactive rather
than a reactive approach to crime.
In July of 2006, Sgt. Brian Randazzo took over the Crime Prevention
/ DARE Unit after serving 19 years in the Patrol Division of the
Police Department. He now works immediately under Chief Keith
Hummel, who has been very supportive during his transition. Sgt
Randazzo looks forward to continuing his career working hand in hand
alongside with the officers in the police department and citizens in
Voorhees Township.

understand the Teamwork Effort needed to fight crime.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact
Sgt. Randazzo at 856-882-1104 or email him at
