Passariello’s
Italian Eatery, located on Laurel Oak Rd. in Voorhees Twp., has
joined efforts with the long standing HEADSMART Program that is run
by the Voorhees Twp. Police Department.
Passariello’s Jessica Thompson,
contacted Sgt. Brian Randazzo of the Voorhees Township Crime
Prevention Unit, and inquired about sponsoring the program, that was
started in 2002.
Voorhees Police Officers on patrol, stop
and talk to children who are caught acting “HEADSMART” by wearing
their bike helmets while bicycling, skateboarding, or
rollerblading. In support of the program, Passariello’s Pizza is
offering a reward of one free slice of cheese pizza, as they join
the effort to promote safety and encourage children 17 years and
younger to wear their helmets.
The HEADSMART program is presented each
year to the four Voorhees Elementary Schools, during a bike safety
assembly, given by Voorhees Police Officers. Since the beginning of
the program, kids have been rewarded with a free water ice coupon
from either Rita’s or Diane’s, also located in Voorhees. Both
stores have been great partners with the police and we are now
pleased that Passariello’s has joined us.
