The Voorhees Township Police Department is a Law Enforcement Agency that is dedicated to the protection of life, property and the Constitutional rights of all our citizens. The Department will strive to enhance the quality of life, preserve the peace, reduce fear and provide for a safe and secure environment for the people who live, work, and visit our community.
The Voorhees Police Department has been providing quality police services to the Township of Voorhees since 1961. We currently have approximately 50 full-time police officers protecting Voorhees. In addition, we have nine part-time police officers who protect the Voorhees Municipal Court, Voorhees Township Schools, and Eastern Regional High School. The backbone of our organization is the Patrol Bureau, which responds to calls for service and provides pro-active random patrols throughout assigned patrol sectors within the Township.
In addition to the most visible part of our agency, the Patrol Bureau, we have several specializations that assist with carrying out our Agency’s mission. These specializations include the Traffic Unit, K-9 Unit, Criminal Investigations Bureau, Crime Scene Investigation and Property Unit, School Security Unit and the Community Affairs Bureau.
The Voorhees Police Department is a New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) Accredited Agency. Members of the Voorhees Police Department provide training both at our Headquarters and at both the Camden County College and Gloucester County Police Academies to officers from across the tristate area. We strive to continue to raise the benchmark in police services in New Jersey through training, equipment, and education.
