It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Retired Voorhees Police K9 Brutus.K9 Brutus faithfully served our department, officers, and our community from 2018 until his retirement on July 14, 2025. Throughout his career, he earned numerous awards and unit citations. K9 Brutus was well known throughout our community, always bringing smiles to people’s faces at events and demonstrations with his friendly, happy demeanor. After a successful career, he enjoyed a well-deserved retirement at home with Sgt. Bordi and his family. Today, we not only mourn the loss of K9 Brutus, but the loss of a loyal companion who gave his life to the service of others.
