We are looking for the public's help with identifying the driver of a black 2-door soft top Jeep Wrangler. The vehicle struck a bicyclist on Tuesday 3/21/23 at approximately 5:45 pm. The incident occurred at the intersection of Britton Place and Burnt Mill Rd (by Giant Fitness). The driver, described as a young white male, stopped and assisted the bicyclist. The police were not called until later and the driver unfortunately left without providing his information. Last night Voorhees Township and Camden County honored VTPD Officer Lawrence Spellman for his combat service in the U.S. Army, his volunteer work in #warriorsheart, which attempts to heal veterans through treatment/rehab services, and his volunteer work with #mission22, a program that assists veterans living with post-traumatic stress, and traumatic brain injury with the objective of healing and preventing suicide. Additionally, Officer Spellman plays an important role in the Multi-Agency Police Peer Support Team (MAPPS), which focuses on police officer wellness and the prevention of suicide.
