The Voorhees Police Department offers a safe place to dispose of unwanted medications in the lobby of our Police Headquarters. Project Medicine Drop ensures that medications that are no longer needed by the patient to whom they were prescribed do not end up in the hands of someone else. Prescription drug abuse is an enormous problem today, and most diverted drugs come right from a medicine cabinet in the home. The Voorhees Police Department in conjunction with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs provides this service free of charge. The unwanted medications are disposed of according to established state procedures. The following items can be disposed of in our Project Medicine Drop box: pills, capsules, patches, pet medications.
