Lieutenant Daniel Scheets

Lieutenant Scheets is responsible for leading the Department’s Community Affairs Bureau, which encompasses the Traffic Unit, Juvenile Unit, School Security Unit, School Resource Officer Program, Courtroom Security, community relations, drug and alcohol alliance liaison, and programs such as the Junior and Citizens Police Academies, Adopt a Cop, Project SafeCam, Law Enforcement Against Drugs (LEAD), and the Law Enforcement Clubs at the Voorhees Middle School and Eastern High School. Lieutenant Scheets is also responsible for the Department’s monthly reports to Mayor and Committee, federal surplus acquisition, and grant application and management.

Lt. Scheets is Physical Fitness Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, and Firearms Instructor at the Camden County Police Academy.  He also holds instructor certifications in OC Spray and Fair & Impartial Policing.

Lt. Scheets graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park.
