Social Media & Online Safety

The Voorhees Police Department Social Media Unit is comprised of Deputy Chief Bill Donnelly, Lt. Robert Hamburg, and Lt. Bill Walsh.  The Social Media Unit is responsible for this website, the VPD Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Nixle social media outlets. The Social Media Unit strives to provide real-time information to our residents and provide multiple platforms to facilitate dialogue between the Voorhees Police Department and the members of the community that we serve. We are constantly looking for the latest and greatest communication tools to get our messages out and to receive information and feedback from our community. In addition, the Social Media Unit often will help the Criminal Investigations Bureau with open-source intelligence gathering, appealing to the public and media for assistance with solving crimes, locating missing persons, and encouraging the reporting of suspicious activity to the police immediately.

The Social Media Unit highlights the efforts our officers put forth every day to make Voorhees Township one of the best places to live, work, and play in New Jersey.  If you have any questions on how to sign up for any of our social media platforms or email and cell phone alerts, contact Lt. Bill Walsh at
