The Voorhees Police Department needs your help in locating fugitive Geoffrey Petit. Petit is wanted for the assault of a Voorhees Police Officer with his vehicle on 1/31/2016. Petit was fleeing an arrest for an outstanding warrant for the assault on a Voorhees Police Detective during a burglary investigation on 1/14/2016 and resisting arrest during that investigation. Petit also has warrants issued by the Moorestown Police Department for charges stemming from other burglaries that our Officer was also attempting to apprehend him for during the investigation on 1/31/2016. Thankfully, the Officer was not injured by the vehicle.
Petit fled the scene of the attempted arrest in the parking lot of his residence, 119-3 Echelon Road, in a gray Ford Focus with Maryland plates 3BY9217 (similar to the one pictured below). The vehicle is an Avis rental car out of Mount Laurel. Petit is wanted on $100,000 full cash warrants out of Voorhees Township and $300,000 worth of warrants out of Moorestown. Petit should not be approached and should be considered dangerous.
