The IACP 40 Under 40 award program is designed to recognize individuals in law enforcement under the age of 40 who demonstrate leadership and commitment to law enforcement. The 2019 awardees represent local, county, state/provincial, university, tribal, and national law enforcement agencies, including awardees from sheriff’s departments, federal agencies, airport police, and investigative organizations, among others. They hail from seven countries—the United States, Canada, Colombia, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, India, and the Solomon Islands. They include chiefs of police, sergeants, lieutenants, inspectors, special agents, project leads, and numerous other roles and ranks, serving their communities in both sworn and non-sworn positions
Lieutenant Walsh will be recognized at the 2019 IACP Conference this October in Chicago.
