  • Residential Burglary Arrest

    VOORHEES TWP. NJ 7/13/16, the Voorhees Police Department announces the arrest of Leon Pittman (38) from Shetland Lane in Willingboro for a forced entry residential burglary, theft and criminal mischief. Voorhees Police took custody of Mr. Pittman after the Moorestown Police Department arrested him on an active Voorhees warrant. The arrest was the result of a thorough and lengthy investigation conducted by the Voorhees Criminal Investigations Bureau after they were detailed to the scene of a burglary on the unit block of Las Brisas Boulevard, back on February 27th, 2016. Mr. Pittman was remanded to the Camden County Correctional facility in lieu of $50,000 bail. The investigation is still ongoing.

    Residents are reminded to be vigilant and report ALL suspicious activity.

    We have listened to our residents’ feedback from our Nextdoor poll for this year’s National Night Out, and are switching to a neighborhood-based event. This year we will be having matching events at Osage School and Kresson School. We encourage our residents to not only come out to the event in their respective area, but to get involved.   • Heroin Arrest

    VOORHEES TWP. NJ 06/23/16; at approximately 8:50PM, the Voorhees Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Burnt Mill Road for a report of suspected narcotic activity taking place. The caller advised police communications that an unknown female may have overdosed. Responding units located the female inside a red Chevy sedan which was also occupied by Anthony Pentasuglio from the 1000 block of Kipling Lane, Philadelphia, PA.
    Police investigation summoned the assistance of Voorhees K9 Officer Anthony Campbell and his partner “Maverick” to the scene. As a result, 37 bags of heroin were located in the vehicle, which resulted in the arrest of Anthony Pentasuglio (37) for 3rd degree Possession of Heroin and Possession of hypodermic syringe. The female was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. Mr. Pentasuglio was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail. This matter is pending in Superior Court in Camden, New Jersey.

  • Residential Burglary Arrest

    VOORHEES TWP. NJ 06/13/16, at approximately 1:24pm the Voorhees Police Department was dispatched to the 1200 block of Maple Avenue for a burglary in progress. Responding Patrol Officers were advised that an alert neighbor called to report an unknown female was trying to gain entry into a house through a window. Voorhees Police arrived and located the female a short distance from the residence. She was identified as Laura Declemente (30) from the 600 block of 9th Avenue, Lindenwold, New Jersey. After an on-scene investigation, Ms. Declemente was charged with 3rd degree Burglary and remanded to the Camden County Correctional facility in lieu of $500.00 bail. The investigation is still ongoing.

  • Residential Apartment Fire

    VOORHEES TWP. NJ 6/13/16; at 4:21pm, Voorhees Police were dispatched to the unit block of Sandra Road for a report of a residential fire. Arriving Officers evacuated the involved and surrounding units. As police secured a perimeter, the fire was suppressed by Voorhees Fire District along with mutual aid from Cherry Hill, Gibbsboro, and West Berlin.

    At this time, 3 families have been displaced and the Red Cross is working to provide placement. Fire Officials are investigating to establish the cause. There were no reported injuries to residents nor emergency personnel.
